Further details: Talks are given each month on a variety of topics from all periods of Ancient Greece and Rome. They are always fully and lavishly illustrated, and often require more than one session (in which case a brief synopsis of the previous sessions is given). Members are encouraged to question and comment; no preparation is expected. Recent talks have covered Troy, Alexander the Great, Technology, Trade in the Ancient World, Ancient Sicily, Greek Philosophy, and Sea and Seafaring.
