Open a Mah Jong box and you are faced with 144 tiles – Bamboos, Circles, Characters, Winds, Dragons, Flowers. This looks complicated. But don’t be deterred. The ancient and inscrutable Chinese developed this game of luck, though a knowledge of how to develop your ‘hand’ of tiles is needed.
